Description: A small flock of Pacific black ducks rises into the fire of a sunset Western sky. On their way to to distant feeding grounds in a time of drought these little guys are easily distinguished by their powerful and rapid wing beats. Named 'Black' ducks because in silhouette on the silvery water they do look dark, in fact the have hardly any black in their plumage except for the highly distinctive eye stripe.
